Single-layer MoS$_2$ therefore becomes an efficient emitter of photoluminescence even at room temperature. Here, we report on scanning Raman and on temperature-dependent, as well as time-resolved photoluminescence measurements on single-layer MoS$_2$ flakes prepared by exfoliation.
