In this work we show how the limiting eigenvectors and eigenvalues of a symmetric matrix $K(\\varepsilon)$ as $\\varepsilon \\to 0$ can be obtained relatively easily from successive Schur complements, provided that the entries scale in different orders of $\\varepsilon$.
