By applying the first law of thermodynamics to the FRW apparent horizon, we obtain modified Friedmann equations that include a correction term characterized by the Kaniadakis parameter $\\lambda$. We then study the evolution of a flat universe containing pressureless matter and interacting GDE within this modified gravity setup. Our numerical analysis reveals that the Kaniadakis correction mildly affects the dark energy equation of state and shifts the transition to cosmic acceleration.
