For a fixed ``wire frame'' boundary condition, as the lattice spacing $\\epsilon\\to0$, Cohn, Kenyon and Propp [CKP] showed the almost sure convergence of a random surface to a non-random limit shape $\\Sigma_0$. In [KO], Okounkov and the author showed how to parametrize the limit shapes in terms of analytic functions, in particular constructing a natural conformal structure on them. We show here that when $\\Sigma_0$ has no facets, for a family of boundary conditions approximating the wire frame, the large-sc","authors_text":"Richard Kenyon","cross_cats":["math.MP","math.PR"],"headline":"","license":"","primary_cat":"math-ph","submitted_at":"2004-05-19T17:38:38Z","title":"Height fluctuations in the honeycomb dimer model"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"math-ph/0405052","kind":"arxiv","version":2},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:6f9974cb26058220ceac6cc77780b2647578dda43319ddd25006f24569d3f556","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-04T15:01:51Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"deb4ee2af95c2735198c71f7ae58469f30b0065e41c832325fbc72e0da8fea1e","cross_cats_sorted":["math.MP","math.PR"],"license":"","primary_cat":"math-ph","submitted_at":"2004-05-19T17:38:38Z","title_canon_sha256":"e8e89f8dfab8cd880040faa42a0ea6b078b91d7b04ea31f7f25748e6accede1f"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"math-ph/0405052","kind":"arxiv","version":2}},"canonical_sha256":"745ba507a1eb40438b14ae37cc30cbdbfedb984bcb476b6d8fb2072379e12e33","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"745ba507a1eb40438b14ae37cc30cbdbfedb984bcb476b6d8fb2072379e12e33","first_computed_at":"2026-07-04T15:01:51.678217Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-04T15:01:51.678217Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"I6152bC2bhxVzSyM/JvZqFhj/h5qI9qDObRrRpLZZ31cZN2aJEfEZFqmaWJQtfH5uc15MdItmT4C1cbofWRsDg==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-04T15:01:51.678613Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"math-ph/0405052","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":2}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:6f9974cb26058220ceac6cc77780b2647578dda43319ddd25006f24569d3f556","sha256:88b109e08020c256973c8236eacfa786b1986bf2dba7337e13f4b9686f00ab23"],"state_sha256":"ad31de8331a514e67a67c04d031e7ddb3112e80c524faaf48c9b33bfad3af44d"}
