The analysis reveals that the emergent phenomenon of dynamical chiral symmetry breaking causes a hardening of the valence-quark distribution function, ${q}^\\pi(x)$. Nevertheless, this distribution exhibits the $x\\simeq 1$ behaviour predicted by quantum chromodynamics (QCD).
