Combinatorially, $\\overline{t}$-separable codes lie somewhere between $t$-frameproof and $(t-1)$-frameproof codes: all $t$-frameproof codes are $\\overline{t}$-separable, and all $\\overline{t}$-separable codes are $(t-1)$-frameproof.
