We give a criteria theorem for a graded algebra $A$ to be piecewise-Koszul in terms of its Yoneda-Ext algebra $E(A)$, and show an $A_{\\infty}$-structure on $E(A)$. Relations between Koszul algebras and piecewise-Koszul algebras are discussed.
