The composition range for gapless states is addressed concurrently to the study of thermodynamically driven boundaries. By tailoring composition, the TlBiS$_2$-TlBiTe$_2$ system might produce both spinodal superlattices and two dimensional eutectic microstructures, either concurrently or separately.
