Our calculations imply that chain stiffness promotes self-assembly of linear telechelic polymer melts that assemble on cooling when either polymer volume fraction $\\phi$ or temperature $T$ is high, but opposes self-assembly when both $\\phi$ and $T$ are sufficiently low.
