The low-energy enhancement in the $\\gamma$-ray strength function, which was first discovered in the ($^3$He,$\\alpha\\gamma$)$^{56}$Fe reaction, is confirmed with the ($p,p^\\prime\\gamma$)$^{56}$Fe experiment reported here.
