These Chern classes are compatible -- in a suitable sense -- with addition, products, and $\\lambda$-operations. They are also compatible with the canonical Gysin sequences and, via period maps, with logarithmic \\'etale Chern classes. Moreover, they induce logarithmic crystalline Chern classes.
