We find in most of these protobinary systems strong accretion bursts between the two companions with a recurrence time-scale of about 1 kyr. The accretion rate onto the secondary star typically exceeds that onto the primary with a peak value of 2 $\\times 10^{-2}$ M$_{\\odot}$ yr$^{-1}$ for the former and 6 $\\times 10^{-3}$ M$_{\\odot}$ yr$^{-1}$ for the latter.
