Both models have a twofold-degenerate neutrino Dirac mass matrix $M_D$, a Majorana mass matrix invariant under a $\\mu$--$\\tau$ interchange symmetry and the predictions of maximal atmospheric neutrino mixing and vanishing mixing angle $\\theta_{13}$.
