For finite $r$ in the limit $L \\to \\infty$, the system settles into a nonequilibrium stationary state with non-Gaussian interface fluctuations, which we characterize analytically for the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang and Edwards-Wilkinson universality class. Our results are corroborated by numerical simulations.
