For the imbalance exceeding a critical value the system undergoes a transition from the uniform interlayer superfluid to the Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov (FFLO) state with a stripe structure, and at sufficiently large imbalance a transition from the FFLO to normal phase.
