We consider the simplest non-trivial situation: the six-point remainder function complementing the Bern-Dixon-Smirnov ansatz for multi-loop amplitudes. Utilizing inverse Mellin transformations, all single-valued amplitude components can indeed be decomposed into multi-valued amplitude components.
