We study the sensitivity of the LHeC to $e$-$\\tau$ (and $e$-$\\mu$) conversion processes $p e^- \\to \\tau^- + j$ (and $p e^- \\to \\mu^- + j$) mediated by a $Z'$ with flavor-violating couplings to charged leptons in the $t$-channel.
