These simulations use adaptive mesh refinement to capture high-specific-energy outflows, together with an implementation of discrete supernovae (SNe). We show that episodic, SNe-driven shock heating sustains the circumgalactic medium (CGM) at $\\mathrm{\\sim T_{vir}}$.
