Its form is obtained by extending the relation of the WDVV equation with ${\\cal N}{=}\\,4$ supersymmetric $n$-dimensional mechanics from flat to curved space. The resulting `curved WDVV equation' is written in terms of a third-rank Codazzi tensor.
