Optical excitation transiently populates the unoccupied band structure and reveals a gap size of 2$\\Delta$ = 0.59 eV. The occupied Te-5p band dispersion is coherently modified by three modes at $\\Omega_{1}$ = 2.2 THz, $\\Omega_{2}$ = 2.7 THz and $\\Omega_{3}$ = 3 THz. All three modes lead to small rigid energy shifts whereas $\\Delta$ is only affected by $\\Omega_{1}$ and $\\Omega_{2}$.
