We show that it is possible to arrange for large, negative values of $S$, based on an analysis of leptonic data, without serious side effects for other observables in certain classes of models. The implications of such scenarios for future measurements on the $Z$ peak, at the Tevatron, and for atomic parity violation experiments are examined.","authors_text":"Thomas G.
