The unique properties include nano-scale ErAs crystallines in host semiconductor, a deep Fermi level, and picosecond ultrafast photocarrier recombination. As the temperature drops, the conduction mechanisms are in the sequence of thermal activation, nearest-neighbor hopping, variable-range hopping, and Anderson localization.
