The analysis is expressed in terms of extremal (i.e. optimal) trajectories on the cotangent bundle of the state manifold $G$. The Hybrid Maximum Principle (HMP) algorithm introduced in \\cite{Shaikh} is extended to the so-called Exponential Gradient algorithm.
