The chromatic polynomial for $(Wh)^{(p)}_n$ is calculated, and remarkably simple properties of the chromatic zeros are found: (i) the real zeros occur at $q=0,1,...p+1$ for $n-p$ even and $q=0,1,...p+2$ for $n-p$ odd; and (ii) the complex zeros all lie, equally spaced, on the unit circle $|q-(p+1)|=1$ in the complex $q$ plane. In the $n \\to \\infty$ limit, the zeros on this circle merge to form a boundary curve separating two regions ","authors_text":"Robert Shrock, Shan-Ho Tsai (Institute for Theoretical Physics, State University of New York at Stony Brook)","cross_cats":[],"headline":"","license":"","primary_cat":"cond-mat.stat-mech","submitted_at":"1997-03-28T23:56:26Z","title":"Families of Graphs With Chromatic Zeros Lying on Circles"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"cond-mat/9703249","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:9f93ce569e1507c75d148b673713f433183c5a9f7611f74b6014a7f28ccf5054","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-04T16:03:46Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"3c796a982e732617bc7979455d2c5f94d5fdf695f8a86cf7715c32121d5167dc","cross_cats_sorted":[],"license":"","primary_cat":"cond-mat.stat-mech","submitted_at":"1997-03-28T23:56:26Z","title_canon_sha256":"f0047c1442061f0fe25e9095a2b58d6ea33bb51f98f8c21e087c04a5253b148a"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"cond-mat/9703249","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"b04d4f22edac8aacd5c31410ae536b860df32b37b6a5d2b06662602fa2fefbfa","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"b04d4f22edac8aacd5c31410ae536b860df32b37b6a5d2b06662602fa2fefbfa","first_computed_at":"2026-07-04T16:03:46.710918Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-04T16:03:46.710918Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"DAKl8Jq65O6Cf4uBcNydxtDj2Y7RuttAwQ3ps8ja6gVYhxYquh4fOs/H0nx7BAJ2SzoXCMQ+cVWOg3Nswm8UBA==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-04T16:03:46.711280Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"cond-mat/9703249","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:9f93ce569e1507c75d148b673713f433183c5a9f7611f74b6014a7f28ccf5054","sha256:7cfe79cc0278a75eb898c123de67b173544afe1df42ea03d4d994466ed38e646"],"state_sha256":"5e4c736ec48e87da8d6359f8f0f9c2abb6c39533f303deea7a072daf8e205be4"}
