Firstly, we generalise to Lipschitz functions the classical theorem stating that given a sequence of smooth functions with locally uniformly convergent derivatives, we obtain the local uniform convergence of the functions themselves (provided they were convergent at one point). Secondly, we prove the reverse theorem for the squared distance function. Next, we turn to the study of the behaviour of the fibres of ","authors_text":"Daniel Fatu{\\l}a","cross_cats":["math.CA","math.MG"],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.GT","submitted_at":"2024-05-10T08:36:15Z","title":"Applications of the Painlev\\'e-Kuratowski convergence: Lipschitz functions with converging Clarke subdifferentials and convergence of sets defined by converging equations"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2405.06314","kind":"arxiv","version":4},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:41e282114ebd99a281c5948f867d5fc8f09d0159316a2813b3c06d89dca32adf","target":"record","created_at":"2026-05-20T00:02:46Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"3ba0421f6ed5f16599729f9024668dbd328bf63861b962a37e04fe1393f9a385","cross_cats_sorted":["math.CA","math.MG"],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.GT","submitted_at":"2024-05-10T08:36:15Z","title_canon_sha256":"f46137cd7e6360b8048b1c9272aafa351b891cede63b1b5c5c561c386beb23d4"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2405.06314","kind":"arxiv","version":4}},"canonical_sha256":"be4ac27238a3277729b709d580e989559c5987fff33fb10819e864a16bffe263","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"be4ac27238a3277729b709d580e989559c5987fff33fb10819e864a16bffe263","first_computed_at":"2026-05-20T00:02:46.072456Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-05-20T00:02:46.072456Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"oqMu27CHSXgV83UzyJxF/W04J/+U6RszlxIlqm5J08uuNxA8mEcZIAMP235FGzuHssXHXXrUvfpRcEuvsclWDA==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-05-20T00:02:46.072942Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2405.06314","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":4}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:41e282114ebd99a281c5948f867d5fc8f09d0159316a2813b3c06d89dca32adf","sha256:a714fd8a2e8cc4b224c1c94e4cd00117a2eefd40aaff981af8b5dc34bb97a822"],"state_sha256":"52ec9e7dd4c021011844edd52a34e59595fc517f307fd6e087d1c3a6a7d0348c"}
