The major difficulty to model such a complex surface is the large number of parameters used to define it. The Zemax's multi-configuration mode is usually used to specify each parameters (tilts, curvatures, decenters) for each mirror sub-surface which are then considered independently. Otherwise making use of the User-Defined Surface (UDS-DLL) Zemax capability, we are able to consider the set of sub-surfaces as a whole surface. In this paper, we present such a UDS-DLL tool comparing its performance","authors_text":"Eric Prieto (LAM), Gil Moretto (LAM), Michel Saisse (LAM), S\\'ebastien Viv\\`es (LAM)","cross_cats":["astro-ph","physics.ins-det"],"headline":"","license":"","primary_cat":"physics.optics","submitted_at":"2005-10-19T12:23:35Z","title":"Modeling a Slicer Mirror Using Zemax User-Defined Surface"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"physics/0510174","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:24940e2d2859e41bd1aef9e5b5ab377038b8373baf129ec66c923f18d5849cb8","target":"record","created_at":"2026-05-18T01:08:46Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"016c4570f98bcefe4395f15d0e715e337d30881c364ff011e8d87624f8c3ac56","cross_cats_sorted":["astro-ph","physics.ins-det"],"license":"","primary_cat":"physics.optics","submitted_at":"2005-10-19T12:23:35Z","title_canon_sha256":"9a2732f238984138c90df90ec5eae6bf501741ea064f01c33e3e103135260f36"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"physics/0510174","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"c1d66eb55f0a137030b716b8551ad8310a856ef82e137484d1967762e1d72152","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"c1d66eb55f0a137030b716b8551ad8310a856ef82e137484d1967762e1d72152","first_computed_at":"2026-05-18T01:08:46.730071Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-05-18T01:08:46.730071Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"Gd1Igb3AcAF5Jvdbr9nrre/9fiazcEv3Qw9nF7xJRL9WJXdMGFwSCviSlt+gSj+vGeIE8ZePpl3z4TSbaT+CBg==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-05-18T01:08:46.730607Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"physics/0510174","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:24940e2d2859e41bd1aef9e5b5ab377038b8373baf129ec66c923f18d5849cb8","sha256:387534402c4f053b89c9866ec7b833b44756b8d236c02eefbb9caa5e9b995e7a"],"state_sha256":"2de79b4199269c32f33ff1dda04e05add506f29afc8535df50e96168c7d75cb4"}
