Wave equations on noncommutative spaces are derived from a quantum Hodge star operator. This general noncommutative geometry construction is then exemplified in the case of k-Minkowski spacetime. The corresponding quantum Poincare'-Weyl Lie algebra of infinitesimal translations, rotations and dilatations is obtained.
