Motivated by mirror symmetry, Hausel and Hitchin showed that over an open of the locus of smooth Hitchin fibers, the duality of Donagi-Pantev intertwines certain Lagrangian upward flows with hyperholomorphic vector bundles constructed from universal Higgs bundles.
