We study a loop-model realization in which $Q$ is a continuous parameter. This model allows for the collision of a critical and a tricritical fixed point at $Q=4$, which then emerge as complex conformally invariant theories at $Q>4$, or even complex $Q$, for suitable complex coupling constants. All critical exponents can be obtained as analytic continuation of known exact results for $Q \\le 4$. We verify this scenario in detail for $Q=5$ using transfer-matrix computations.","authors_text":"Jesper Lykke Jacobsen, Kay Joerg Wiese","cross_cats":["cond-mat.stat-mech","math-ph","math.MP"],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"hep-th","submitted_at":"2024-02-16T14:48:49Z","title":"Lattice realization of complex CFTs: Two-dimensional Potts model with $Q>4$ states"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2402.10732","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:5be7199751ed0f5d9ed865460d344b5a791afea6e678f18f9b29994cb8a79be2","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T09:09:02Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"ee549e91ab62df5b8701462a8194b074faa2113f313ee5cf23c36c5a83806c31","cross_cats_sorted":["cond-mat.stat-mech","math-ph","math.MP"],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"hep-th","submitted_at":"2024-02-16T14:48:49Z","title_canon_sha256":"516c83f5d36adeff3abdfdd19c8268ec332ea93e93ba1baa413b8965f6e007d7"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2402.10732","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"c9126b152c39e5cb9c96962baec73ee702465a4b4f196312c3bb810185476175","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"c9126b152c39e5cb9c96962baec73ee702465a4b4f196312c3bb810185476175","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T09:09:02.631297Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T09:09:02.631297Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"QEtYMGiPmpHvA5EuPs9DgRNSWshuyMCMw01XQR6Py4e28cX+/4hwAALO/+cwXD2JitMah8aT9HWPdMiNof4VBQ==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T09:09:02.631846Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2402.10732","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:5be7199751ed0f5d9ed865460d344b5a791afea6e678f18f9b29994cb8a79be2","sha256:46a79bb9b54fd82714d36dd5926400860474b92954dcf72f51fce48507cabe2f"],"state_sha256":"c2ae9960545675ae5c1bb21ca51bc8b908ec4557928bb8f913364d3bd8b1ade1"}
