Soft protons, in the range from tens of keV up to a few MeV, impinging on silicon X-ray detectors can lead to a significant degradation of the detector performance. Especially in low earth orbits an enhancement of the soft proton flux has been found. A setup to irradiate detectors with soft protons has been constructed at the Van-de-Graaff accelerator of the Physikalisches Institut of the University of T\\\"ubingen. Key advantages are a high flux uniformity over a large area, t","authors_text":"(2) ISDC Data Centre for Astrophysics - University of Geneva, (3) INAF/IASF Istituto di Astrofisica Spaziale e Fisica Cosmica - Rome, (4) INFN Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare - Sezione di Trieste), Alexandre Rachevski (4), Andrea Santangelo (1), Andrea Vacchi (4), Christoph Tenzer (1), Eckhard Kendziorra (1), Emanuele Perinati (1), Ettore Del Monte (3), Gianluigi Zampa (4), Josef Jochum (1), Marco Feroci (3), Nicola Zampa (4) ((1) Kepler Center for Astro, Particle Physics - University of T\\\"ubingen, Philipp Azzarello (2), Sebastian Diebold (1)","cross_cats":["physics.ins-det"],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"astro-ph.IM","submitted_at":"2013-07-16T09:02:22Z","title":"A setup for soft proton irradiation of X-ray detectors for future astronomical space missions"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"1307.4204","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:767b313ee74bc33e08bc53de3e4d079cb11053e0bfc20a5258b1176e6f3299f5","target":"record","created_at":"2026-05-18T01:48:49Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"d00f8437851dfd74c2ea28e3cf689cbce47df706b1390e12ff6170d801642db7","cross_cats_sorted":["physics.ins-det"],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"astro-ph.IM","submitted_at":"2013-07-16T09:02:22Z","title_canon_sha256":"d0969da41bc92ac4de76c9c6e2b60be903fb62d7c9cf7d144d23ac46b3fce763"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"1307.4204","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"cabca34b6b7e12749f77dca6cf2d6f680d69e468e82b1dc8d5aa0a37db8e085c","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"cabca34b6b7e12749f77dca6cf2d6f680d69e468e82b1dc8d5aa0a37db8e085c","first_computed_at":"2026-05-18T01:48:49.746436Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-05-18T01:48:49.746436Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"COPdyUKqT/KCl699NUwHbQDAw1EjpefPj7tOQTj+aH2No4uu8Nk6we6yE+f2XLkietPs0SqGFEDi6c1jyOx5AA==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-05-18T01:48:49.747079Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"1307.4204","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:767b313ee74bc33e08bc53de3e4d079cb11053e0bfc20a5258b1176e6f3299f5","sha256:e964c62aa97e9e525a4dda251f467f5ae2e70d2a4f57f8c81597ed95274ef03b"],"state_sha256":"38f8299aae42924278a19f48b79ffda2e4a7e699f9f84c4822005f12aa0fab7c"}
