The type of magnetic order induced in local moments by a Kitaev-type spin liquid is controlled by whether the spin operators commute with the spin liquid's flux operators, yielding short-range Kitaev, long-range RKKY-like, or dimerized phases.
This can be achieved by adding a flux-coupling term, −Jw P p,q(W SqL p + W SqL q ), to Eq.(4)
