For an irreducible nodal curve of genus at least two, the cohomology ring of the moduli space of rank-two semistable sheaves with fixed odd determinant obeys the Mumford relations restricted to monodromy-invariant classes, and its Hodge-Poincare polynomial is computed explicitly.
