Pulse correlations of arbitrary order in QKD can be upper bounded by an exponential decay derived from the step response of a linear time-invariant model, fitted to measurements of the modulation pulses.
If we consider N = 10 12 emitted signals and a failure probability of d = 10−10, this yields an effective maxi- mum correlation length of lµ e = 11 for both values of t0 considered
