Point contacts on trigonal PtBi2 exhibit enhanced superconductivity with Tc up to 8 K, likely due to local strain from contact formation, observed with both normal and ferromagnetic tips and stronger at sample edges.
At the same time, the enhanced Tc is more than two times larger in comparison to measurements under hydrostatic pressure [18]

Point-contact enhanced superconductivity in trigonal PtBi2: quest for the origin of high-Tc
Point contacts on trigonal PtBi2 exhibit enhanced superconductivity with Tc up to 8 K, likely due to local strain from contact formation, observed with both normal and ferromagnetic tips and stronger at sample edges.
