abstract
It has been suggested that the production of a heavy quarkonium near threshold in electron-proton scattering can shed light on the origin of the proton mass via the QCD trace anomaly. We study the photoproduction of $J/\psi$ off the proton using gauge/string duality and demonstrate that the $t$-dependence of the differential cross section $d\sigma/dt$ at small-$t$ is a sensitive probe of the trace anomaly.

The small-x gluon D-term is a next-to-eikonal stress probe and is not fixed by the leading-eikonal dipole or saturation profile alone.
Fixed-j holographic DDVCS and DVCS structurally match the singlet conformal-OPE Wilson-kernel family of QCD via open- and closed-string Witten vertices.
In light-front holographic QCD the nucleon gravitational form factor B_N(t) vanishes exactly in the symmetric limit due to an antisymmetric longitudinal factor and remains strongly suppressed for realistic nucleon wave functions, explaining its observed smallness.
The EIC Yellow Report specifies the science goals, required detector capabilities, and technology concepts needed to realize a high-luminosity electron-ion collider program.
