abstract

The coherent muon-electron conversion rates in various nuclei are calculated for general lepton flavor violating interactions. We solve the Dirac equations numerically for the initial state muon and the final state electron in the Coulomb force, and perform the overlap integrals between the wave functions and the nucleon densities. The results indicate that the conversion branching ratio increases for a light nucleus up to the atomic number Z ~ 30, is largest for Z = 30 -- 60, and becomes smaller for a heavy nucleus with Z > (~ 60). We also discuss the uncertainty from the input proton and neutron densities. The atomic number dependence of the conversion ratio calculated here is useful to distinguish theoretical models with lepton flavor violation.

Radiative Neutrino Mass in a Nonholomorphic $T'$ Modular Invariant Model

hep-ph · 2026-06-09 · unverdicted · novelty 6.0

A nonholomorphic T' modular model realizes the T4-2-i one-loop topology for radiative Majorana neutrino masses, forbids tree-level seesaws via modular assignments, stabilizes DM with residual Z2, and fits oscillation data plus DM constraints for both hierarchies with fermionic DM.

Gauged Flavour for Asymmetric Dark Matter

hep-ph · 2026-05-19 · unverdicted · novelty 6.0 · 2 refs

A gauged SO(3) flavour symmetry broken at multiple scales generates SM fermion masses, redistributes a lepton asymmetry into baryon and dark matter asymmetries via sphalerons, and yields dark matter as bound states of a confining SU(3), with mirror fermions required for anomaly cancellation.

TeV Scale Quark-Lepton Unification

hep-ph · 2025-12-11 · unverdicted · novelty 6.0

A quark-lepton unified Pati-Salam model with Z2 symmetry realizes a leptoquark gauge boson as light as 4.3 TeV, compatible with LHC and flavor constraints, and predicts testable lepton flavor violation plus new vector-like quarks.

Zee models with a non-invertible $Z_M$ symmetry

hep-ph · 2026-05-22 · unverdicted · novelty 5.0

Zee models are classified under non-invertible Z_M symmetries; viable candidates are identified from data consistency, and a Z_7 benchmark yields numerical predictions for neutrino parameters and CLFV rates.

Reach and complementarity of $\mu\to e$ searches

hep-ph · 2022-04-01 · unverdicted · novelty 5.0

Derives new physics scale constraints in a six-dimensional EFT subspace for μ to e transitions using data from μ→eγ, μ→3e, and nuclear conversion experiments while highlighting their complementarity.

Revisiting $\mu$-$e$ conversion in $R$-parity violating SUSY

hep-ph · 2026-01-26 · unverdicted · novelty 4.0

RG running changes limits on certain RPV SUSY λ and λ' couplings by up to 80 percent, with upcoming μ-e conversion experiments expected to set stronger bounds than μ→eγ or μ→eee decays.
