For outdoor rain drop-size distributions the terahertz rain-attenuation peak migrates monotonically to lower frequencies with increasing rainfall rate following a power-law dependence driven by the rainfall-dependent characteristic scale.
In outdoor environments, however, rain events occur over a finite temperature range, and the temperature sensitivity of the peak location must therefore be assessed separately

Rain-Attenuation Peak Frequency in the Terahertz Band
For outdoor rain drop-size distributions the terahertz rain-attenuation peak migrates monotonically to lower frequencies with increasing rainfall rate following a power-law dependence driven by the rainfall-dependent characteristic scale.
