An SU(3)-based fit with strange-quark-mass corrections reproduces most hyperon decay data, but leaves a weak 1-sigma deviation in Sigma+ to p pi0 that the authors interpret as a possible sign of new physics.

abstract
We give an personal overview of some of the unsolved problems related to hyperon decays. We cover nonleptonic decays, radiative decays and magnetic moments. Some of the theoretical issues are also touched upon.

SU(3) flavor symmetry analysis of hyperon non-leptonic two body decays
An SU(3)-based fit with strange-quark-mass corrections reproduces most hyperon decay data, but leaves a weak 1-sigma deviation in Sigma+ to p pi0 that the authors interpret as a possible sign of new physics.
