The authors construct a revised pf-shell interaction, GX1R, by replacing the tensor-force matrix elements of GX1B1 with Yukawa-form values fitted to the USDB interaction, and show that shell-model predictions remain similar to those of GX1B1.
The old interactions were insufficient to describe the properties of these nuclei, which eventually led to the construction of GXPF1 [26]
