Experimental observations indicate that quenching defects in TaS3 act as extended objects producing a previously unknown non-local pinning of charge density waves that affects TP and ET differently than local pinning centers.
The presence of these features let us suggest that quenching defects are macroscopic (non-local) objects

A new type of charge-density-wave pinning in orthorhombic TaS$_3$ crystals with quenching defects
