Gaia data enables high-accuracy kinematic studies of nearby stellar groups, galactic rotation, spiral arms, the Radcliffe wave, and vertical phase spirals, including checks for similar waves elsewhere.
This is largely due to the advent of mass astrometric and photometric measurements obtained as a result of the Gaia space experiment [1],[2]
