Observation of new resonances decaying to Dπ and D^*π in inclusive e^+e^- collisions near sqrt{s}=10.58 GeV

We present a study of the $D^+\pi^-$, $D^0\pi^+$, and $D^{*+}\pi^-$ systems in inclusive $e^+e^- \rightarrow c\bar{c}$ interactions in a search for new excited $D$ meson states. We use a dataset, consisting of $\sim$454 fb$^{-1}$, collected at center-of-mass energies near 10.58 GeV by the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy collider. We observe, for the first time, candidates for the radial excitations of the $D^0$, $D^{*0}$, and $D^{*+}$, as well as the L=2 excited states of the $D^0$ and $D^+$, where $L$ is the orbital angular momentum of the quarks.

Higher excited charmed and charmed-strange mesons in an unquenched quark model
Unquenched quark model calculations show coupled-channel effects lower masses of higher D and Ds excitations; D_s1(2933) is assigned as mixed D_s(2P1), D_sJ(3040) favors D_s(3^1S0), while D(3000) fits none of the 3S/2...

Phenomenology of Hypothetical Single-Top Hadronic States
QCD sum rule calculations produce ground-state masses for single-top baryons like Lambda_t and mesons like T_t b-bar, with several central values slightly below constituent quark mass sums suggesting possible weak bin...

$D_{(s)}(2S)$ and $D^{*}_{(s)}(2S)$ production in nonleptonic $B_{(s)}$ weak decays
Covariant light-front calculations predict branching ratios of 10^{-5} to 10^{-3} for B(s) to D(s)(2S) and D*(s)(2S) plus light mesons, larger than Bethe-Salpeter results but consistent with other quark models.
