abstract
We show that it is consistent to have regular closed non-clopen copies of $\mathbb N^*$ within $\mathbb N^*$ and a non-trivial self-map of $\mathbb N^*$ even if all autohomeomorphisms of $\mathbb N^*$ are trivial.
