These are notes for the Aisenstadt lectures given in may/june 2002 at CRM, Montreal, enlarged and updated in 2014 by taking into account the recent results of Elias and Williamson on Soergel bimodules. The main object is the study of Iwahori-Hecke algebras arising from reductive groups over finite or p-adic fields. We try to extend various results known in the equal parameter case to the case of not necessarily equal parameters.

  1. Idempotents, traces, and dimensions in Hecke categories

    math.RT 2025-07 conditional novelty 8.0 of 10

The paper provides closed formulas for recursible local intersection forms and recursive partial trace formulas that reduce categorical dimensions in asymptotic Hecke categories to diagrammatic computations.

  2. Braid group symmetries on Poisson algebras arising from quantum symmetric pairs

    math.QA 2025-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

For every finite type quantum symmetric pair, the braid group action and a PBW basis descend to the DCKP-type integral form and, via semiclassical limits, yield Poisson automorphisms and explicit Poisson brackets on t...

  3. Quantum Howe duality and Schur duality of type AIII

    math.QA 2025-09 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Establishes a natural isomorphism between the iweight rho-bar space in iHowe duality and the tensor space in iSchur duality, under which relative braid group actions coincide with type B Hecke algebra actions, yieldin...

  4. Induction for extended affine type A Soergel bimodules: first steps

    math.RT 2025-07 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

A categorical embedding Ψ for extended affine type A Soergel bimodules is constructed, categorifying the Hecke algebra parabolic embedding, with an example categorifying the Zelevinsky tensor product of two trivial re...

  5. Sandwich cellularity and a version of cell theory

    math.RT 2022-06 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Sandwich cellularity is presented as a version of cell theory for algebras and applied to Hecke algebras plus monoid and diagram algebras.
