Observations of the cosmic microwave backgroundradiation are described to remarkable accuracy by the six-parameterLambda CDM cosmology. However, the key ingredients of this model, namely dark matter, dark energy and cosmic inflation are not understood at a fundamental level. It is therefore important to investigate tensions between the CMB and other cosmological probes. I will review aspects of tensions with direct measurements of the Hubble constant H_0, measurements of weak gravitational lensing, and the recent hints of evolving dark energy reported by the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) collaboration.

  1. Cosmology of fractional gravity

    gr-qc 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Fractional gravity yields stable de Sitter expansion and exact bouncing solutions driven by phantom (w < -1) or ghost (negative energy) fluids, with results independent of the form-factor representation.

  2. DESI 2024 VI: Cosmological Constraints from the Measurements of Baryon Acoustic Oscillations

    astro-ph.CO 2024-04 accept novelty 7.0 of 10

First-year DESI BAO data are consistent with flat LambdaCDM and, when combined with CMB, show a 2.5-3.9 sigma preference for evolving dark energy (w0 > -1, wa < 0) that strengthens with certain supernova datasets.

  3. A Quantitative Framework for Testing the Hubble Tension in a Bianchi Type I Cosmological Background

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

An analytic weak-shear Bianchi I calculation bounds the low-redshift luminosity-distance quadrupole to |Aμ(0.15)|≲2.4×10^-11 mag under BBN shear limits, ruling out shear-only resolution of the Hubble tension.

  4. Cosmology from Planck CMB Lensing and DESI DR1 Quasar Tomography

    astro-ph.CO 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

    DESI DR1 quasars cross-correlated with Planck PR4 lensing give sigma8 = 0.929 and S8 = 0.922, about 1.5 sigma above Planck's LCDM prediction, and a sound-horizon-free H0 = 69.1 km/s/Mpc.

  5. Latent-Space Gaussian Processes for Dark-Energy Reconstruction from Observational \(H(z)\) Data

    astro-ph.CO 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Latent-f and latent-H Gaussian process reconstructions from OHD data both yield f(z), w(z), and Om(z) consistent with Lambda-CDM, with no strong predictive preference and small prior-dependent residuals mainly at high...

  6. Intertwined Constraints in Extended Cosmologies: Dark Energy, Curvature, Neutrinos, and Inflation

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 unverdicted novelty 4.0 of 10

Dynamical dark energy remains preferred across extended models while curvature, neutrino mass and inflation parameters show strong model dependence, with no resolution of the H0 tension.

  7. Revisiting the Hubble tension problem in the framework of holographic dark energy

    astro-ph.CO 2025-11 unverdicted novelty 4.0 of 10

HDE models with future event horizon IR cutoff partially ease the Hubble tension while Hubble-scale cutoffs do not, consistent across six models and multiple BAO/SN/CMB combinations.
