The all-flavor solar neutrino flux measured by the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) constrains nonstandard energy losses to less than about 10% of the Sun's photon luminosity, superseding a helioseismological argument and providing new limits on the interaction strength of low-mass particles. For the axion-photon coupling strength we find g_a\gamma < 7E-10 1/GeV. We also derive explicit limits on the Yukawa coupling to electrons of pseudoscalar, scalar and vector bosons with keV-scale masses.

  1. Minimal Proton-Mass Dark Matter

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

A minimal dark matter model with one complex scalar carrying B and L numbers, stabilized by proton stability, with mass near the proton mass and relic density from UV freeze-in.

  2. Resonant axion and dark photon production in magnetic white dwarfs

    hep-ph 2025-09 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Magnetic fields broaden the resonant conversion of photons to axions and dark photons inside magnetic white dwarfs, enabling emission where none occurred before.

  3. Probing the axion-electron coupling at cavity experiments

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Cavity walls radiate microwave photons when axion dark matter generates a chiral magnetic current at the conductor surface, turning existing haloscope data into a bound on the axion-electron coupling g_ae ≲ 10^-5.

  4. Dark Photons from Red Dwarfs

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Red dwarf mass-radius data from eclipsing binaries combined with dark-photon-inclusive evolution simulations produce competitive constraints on light dark photons.
