I present derivation of L\"uscher's finite size formula for the elastic $N\pi$ and the $NN$ scattering system for several angular momenta from the relativistic quantum field theory.

    Lattice QCD at m_pi≈292 MeV finds virtual poles in the ^3S1 and ^1S0 NN channels with binding energies 6^{+5}_{-3} MeV and 11^{+6}_{-5} MeV, extracted via Lüscher and NPHF analyses.
