abstract
Using a sample of $1.3\times 10^9$ $J/\psi$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we report the first observation of $\eta^{\prime}\to\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ and $\eta^{\prime}\to\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{0}\pi^{0}$. The measured branching fractions are $\mathcal{B}$($\eta^{\prime}\to\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$) = $(8.53\pm0.69({\rm stat.})\pm0.64({\rm syst.}))\times10^{-5}$ and $\mathcal{B}$($\eta^{\prime}\to\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{0}\pi^{0}$) = $(1.82\pm0.35({\rm stat.})\pm0.18({\rm syst.}))\times10^{-4}$, which are consistent with theoretical predictions based on a combination of chiral perturbation theory and vector-meson dominance.

Precision evaluation of the $\eta$- and $\eta'$-pole contributions to hadronic light-by-light scattering in the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon
hep-ph 2024-11 accept novelty 8.0 of 10
A new dispersive analysis of the eta and eta-prime transition form factors gives a_mu(eta-pole) = 14.7(9) x 10^-11 and a_mu(eta'-pole) = 13.5(7) x 10^-11, with combined pseudoscalar poles at 91.2(+2.9,-2.4) x 10^-11.

Simulation of dark scalar particle sensitivity in $\eta$ rare decay channels at HIAF
hep-ph 2024-12 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10
A one-month HIAF simulation projects branching-ratio upper limits of about 10^-9 (e+e-) and 10^-6 (pi pi) for eta decays to a dark scalar, with parameter sensitivities beyond current bounds.
