This final article about the CHOOZ experiment presents a complete description of the electron antineutrino source and detector, the calibration methods and stability checks, the event reconstruction procedures and the Monte Carlo simulation. The data analysis, systematic effects and the methods used to reach our conclusions are fully discussed. Some new remarks are presented on the deduction of the confidence limits and on the correct treatment of systematic errors.

    hep-ex 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Simulation-based proof-of-concept demonstrates neutron identification and reconstruction of direction and energy using blips from inelastic scattering in LArTPCs.

  2. Revival of the Reactor Antineutrino Anomaly

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0

A 2023 reactor antineutrino flux calculation revives the Reactor Antineutrino Anomaly to 2.2 sigma and produces 3.8 sigma tension with gallium data that drops to 1.3 sigma when gallium uncertainties are enlarged.
