Instead, we observe the opposite trend: longitudinal dispersion is enhanced in the attractive case, whereas dispersion is suppressed in the repulsive case.
That the observed reversal is caused by diffusiophoretic particle exchange between slow and fast streamlines as captured by the minimal two-layer plug-flow model, rather than other unmodeled effects such as pore-scale hydrodynamics or experimental artifacts.
